Benefits of PT
Yes! In fact, this is the type of training that excites me the most! I've got experience training clients that wanted to complete anything from Hyrox, Spartan, DEKA, and all the way up to a full Marathon.
This is depending on what you consider "expensive" is and what level of support you truly need. The more help you require, the more of an investment it may be at the start of our journey together. As you build your confidence, develop the habit of training consistently and can safely perform all foundational exercises, we won't need to see each other as often which will become more economical.
This completely depends on your goals, starting point, genetics and level of commitment. If your goal is fat loss, we could see changes in as little as 2 weeks, this is the same with strength gain and improvements in cardiovascular fitness. However, if your goal is to build more muscle then this is a much slower process that can take 3-6 months before any significant transformation may be occur.
Depends on your level of training experience and confidence when it comes to proper technique for most foundational exercises.
If you are someone new to exercise, weights, or conditioning training, and struggle to stay consistent, then you may need to see me 2-3 times per week to start with and then we may reduce it to once per week as you gain more experience.
If you have training experience, find it easy to exercise consistently by yourself and just want someone there to check your form, provide a program and make sure you're pushing yourself, then you may only need 1 in-person session per week.
Yes! I offer FREE consultations for anyone who is interested in personal training or coaching as it is essential that we both enjoy working with each other in order for any meaningful changes to occur. The consultation could either be over the phone or we book a time in for a 60-min session together at Goodlife South Melbourne where we can go over proper form, injuries and identify where we are starting and what we have to do to achieve your goals.
I sure can. Head to the Programming page where you will find a variety of pre-made 12-week programs for specific goals. You will also see my tailored program option where I will personally design a 12-week program unique to your individual needs and will be there to keep you on track with coaching calls/check-ins (weekly, fortnightly or monthly).
In our session we will be following a workout from the program I have specifically made for you.
I will be there to make sure your form is safe and correct, your intensity is appropriate (tell you when you can push harder or if you need to pull back) and answer any questions you may have about training, nutrition, mindset, or lifestyle habits.
At the same time, we will be catching up on what's going on in our lives and anything else you want to talk about (I'm an open book and I love learning about the clients I train).
Yes. All in-person training clients get a personalised program.
Yes. For in-person training the minimum commitment period is 6-months. This is to ensure we have had enough time together to make fitness a habit, achieve your goal (or at least have made massive progress towards it), and have plenty of practice using proper technique so you have the confidence to train by yourself safely.
No. The nutrition guide is better than a meal plan as it teaches you EVERYTHING you could ever need to know about how much to eat, what to eat, and even when to eat. I've found education around your nutrition much more effective than providing an exact meal plan as they are only a temporary solution to a long term issue and once "normal" eating resumes then people tend to undo all of their hard earned progress.
No. I say this to everyone I begin training: the only reason I want you to continue training with me after 6-months is because you love my company and enjoy training together and not because you still need a personal trainer.
For my in-person coached clients, I see them on average 2 times per week.
Many clients at the start of their journey start off with more frequent sessions 3-4 times per week, and once they are confident in their personal accountability and form drop to 1-2 times per week with their accompanying programming.
I sure do! Training together can be such a rewarding part of your fitness journey. I've trained couples who want to shed kgs before their wedding, friends who are competing in doubles racing events, and couples that just want to grow healthier together.
As long as you are training together at the same time and frequency, sessions are $60 each ($120 total) per week.
The truth is yes, I could. However, I would challenge the true benefits of this frequency. If you want to make impactful changes in your life and stay consistent in your health, I strongly recommend committing to at least once per week.
If availability is the issue, let's discuss. Exceptions can be made, or perhaps looking at a tailored program with check-in calls will benefit you most.
